MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.
PHARMACIST ONLY MEDICINE
- This product is a Pharmacist Only Medicine and requires pharmacist advice before we can dispatch this product. You must first place the order and then contact our pharmacists within 48 hours on 1300 367 283.
The pharmacist will determine if this product is appropriate for you and if so, approve the order. In the event that you do not do this, the product will be deleted from your order and the balance of your order will be dispatched.
This is not required if you have a doctor's prescription.

What are SensoPearls™?
At Medela Baby, we want our products to make every gesture more gentle, intimate and assured. Baby skin is sensitive and we strive to make all our products gentle to the skin. SensoPearls™ are smooth little nubs on the inside of the shield of all our soothers. They are placed on the top and bottom of the shield to reduce - in addition to the air holes - the risk of redness and irritation on your little one's delicate skin.
How do I use the Medela Baby Steribox to clean my soothers?
When a sterilisation box is included with your soother, it can be used to sterilise your Medela Baby soother in the microwave. Please follow these instructions:
Before use, remove any stickers from the box and wash the soother and box with warm water. Then follow these steps:
Fill water up to the marker 10 ml/0.3 fl.oz for 1 soother or 25 ml/0.9 fl.oz for 2 soothers.
Place the soother(s) in the box.
Close the box and sterilise the soother for 3 minutes in the microwave (max. 1000 W).
Allow to cool for a minimum of 3 min before opening the sterilising box.
Squeeze out any residual water from the soother teat.
WARNING: Take extra care when handling and opening the sterilising box. Hot steam from within the box can cause burns. Always check the temperature of the soother before use.

Scary but works
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these to try because I’d seen they’re quite in at the moment. It’s kind of creepy that you can see into your babies mouth when they’re sucking on it, but apart from that they work well to soothe the baby and they’re quite a good price point too and good quality.

Great Shape

So went looking to find something different, and decided to buy these Medela Soothers - and I cannot fault them!
They're a great shape to fit bubs face & the smaller/flatter teat helps to prevent the gagging he was having from other brands with rounder bulb-like teats..
Definately recommend giving these a try!

A favourite with our girl
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our little one is a dummy lover and I have tried a few, the silicon one are always a favourite. They are nice and soft and she takes to them well. After buying two packets we have lots all 4 already , I'm sure we will find them under the couch or the toy box.

Perfect for newborn
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this in a trial box and bub took to it straight away. I love the design of this one as it is soft and easy for bubs to latch onto. The added case is perfect for when you're on the go and you need to put it somewhere germs can't get to it. The shape of the soother is perfect for bubs as he didn't gag like he did with others. Very happy with this one!
