MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

- This product is a Pharmacist Only Medicine and requires pharmacist advice before we can dispatch this product. You must first place the order and then contact our pharmacists within 48 hours on 1300 367 283.
The pharmacist will determine if this product is appropriate for you and if so, approve the order. In the event that you do not do this, the product will be deleted from your order and the balance of your order will be dispatched.
This is not required if you have a doctor's prescription.

一般信息
Mepreze (esomeprazole) provides lasting relief for customers who suffer from frequent heartburn and acid reflux symptoms.
Mepreze is used for the relief of frequent heartburn and stomach acid complaints due to gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD).
Mepreze works by decreasing the amount of acid made by the stomach and offers the convenience of symptom relief with once-daily dosing. Mepreze will begin to work in a few hours, however it may take a couple of days for full effect.
One Mepreze 20mg tablet should be taken each day with a glass of water unless otherwise advised by a pharmacist or doctor. It is recommended that Mepreze is taken about the same time each day, and that the tablet is not crushed or chewed as it will not work properly. If a tablet is forgotten, take a dose as soon as remembered and then commence the daily dose as normal. Do not take a double dose to make up for the dose that you missed. If you are not sure what to do, ask your pharmacist or doctor.
Mepreze can be taken with food or on an empty stomach and it is recommended for adults 18 years of age and over, who suffer from frequent heartburn at least 2 times a week.
If you have any allergies or are on any other medication, please read the ‘Consumer Medicine Information’ (available from your pharmacist) or check with your pharmacist or doctor before taking Mepreze.
Mepreze is not recommended for anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.

警告
CAUTION- This medicine is for the relief of minor and temporary ailments and should be used strictly as directed.
Do not use:
• in children and adolescents under 18 years of age
• if you are allergic to esomeprazole, omeprazole, rabeprazole, lansoprazole or pantoprazole
• if you are taking atazanavir or cilostazol
• if you are breastfeeding or intend to breastfeed
• if the expiry date printed on the pack has passed
Ask your pharmacist or doctor before use if you:
• are pregnant or may become pregnant
• have or ever had serious liver disease
• are taking other medicines regularly
While using this product, see your doctor if:
• you feel unwell while taking this medicine
• your symptoms persist or recur within two weeks of completing the course
Keep to the recommended dose. If an overdose is taken or suspected, ring the Poisons Information Centre (Australia 131 126) or go to your nearest hospital.

AGE: Adults 18 years of age and over.
DOSAGE: Swallow 1 tablet whole with water, with or without food.
The tablet should be taken once daily at the same time each day.
Do not crush or chew tablet.
DURATION: Take 1 tablet daily for at least 7 days and up to 14 days.
Not intended for immediate relief. It may take several days to achieve maximum results. Stop taking after 14 days except on medical advice.
Store below 25°C
Do not use if any of the blister seals are damaged or broken.
