MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

- This product is a Pharmacist Only Medicine and requires pharmacist advice before we can dispatch this product. You must first place the order and then contact our pharmacists within 48 hours on 1300 367 283.
The pharmacist will determine if this product is appropriate for you and if so, approve the order. In the event that you do not do this, the product will be deleted from your order and the balance of your order will be dispatched.
This is not required if you have a doctor's prescription.

Canesten Antifungal Cream fights athlete's foot and a broad range of fungal skin infections such as ringworm, jock itch or fungal nappy rash.
It contains a broad-spectrum anti-fungal agent with activity against the dermatophytes and yeasts that are associated with fungal infections.
Why Use Canesten Clotrimazole Antifungal Cream?
It provides effective treatment for fungal skin conditions such as tinea, athlete's foot, ring worm, jock itch and candidal infections including nappy rash.
It helps stop the growth of fungi and relieves the symptoms of fungal skin infections.

What is Athlete's foot?
It's a fungal skin infection caused by fungi that thrive in warm and moist environments like changing rooms, showers and public pools. Walking barefoot in these places puts you at greater risk. Athlete's foot usually occurs between your toes, but it can also affect the soles and side of your feet.
You don't have to be an athlete to get infected and it's not a matter of poor hygiene. Fungal skin infections may feel uncomfortable, but in most cases there's nothing to worry about and they can be treated easily.

• Itching, burning or stinging
• Flaked, cracked or scaly skin

How to use Canesten Clotrimazole Antifungal Cream?
Clean and dry the affected area thoroughly
Apply the cream thinly to the affected area and smooth in gently.
Continue treatment for 2 weeks after symptoms disappear to avoid recurrence.
The length of treatment may vary depending on the kind of infection you have.
Even if your symptoms seem to be clearing up, you should complete the full course of treatment to ensure the infection is treated.

What do you want from me? It's antifungal cream.
Your insistence for me to leave a review of this antifungal cream makes me feel that it should be more entangled in my life than I thought it could be. I'd love to share a story of this cream suddenly stopping someone in the middle of a racist rant in order to realise that we are all one people, but unfortunately I only had tinea between my toes and the cream appears to have fixed it. Thank you.
