MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.
PHARMACIST ONLY MEDICINE
- This product is a Pharmacist Only Medicine and requires pharmacist advice before we can dispatch this product. You must first place the order and then contact our pharmacists within 48 hours on 1300 367 283.
The pharmacist will determine if this product is appropriate for you and if so, approve the order. In the event that you do not do this, the product will be deleted from your order and the balance of your order will be dispatched.
This is not required if you have a doctor's prescription.

- This prescription item is Schedule 8 and can only be supplied on a script from a registered doctor in Queensland.

Dimetapp COLOUR FREE Cold Elixir
Contains an antihistamine (Brompheniramine
Maleate) to relieve a runny nose, itchy, watery
eyes and sneezing, a decongestant (Phenylephrine
Hydrochloride) to relieve nasal and sinus
congestion.

警告
1. Dimetapp should not be taken by patients with hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, thyroid disease, asthma, glaucoma or difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland, except under the advice and supervision of a doctor.
2. Patients are advised not to take Dimetapp for persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, emphysema, or if cough is accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucus) unless directed by a doctor.
3. A persistent cough may be a sign of a serious condition. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days (or within 48 hours in the case of children), tend to recur, or are accompanied by fever, rash, or persistent headache, patients should consult a doctor.
4. This medication may cause drowsiness; alcohol, sedatives and tranquillisers may increase the drowsiness effect. Do not give Dimetapp to children who are taking sedatives or tranquillisers without first consulting their doctor. Caution should be used when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery due to possible drowsiness effects.
5. Doses in excess of the recommended dosage may cause nervousness, dizziness or sleeplessness.

Each 5 mL contains:
Brompheniramine Maleate 2 mg
Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 5 mg
使用方法
Every 6 to 8 hours orally:
Adults and Children over 12 years: 10 mL
Children 6 - 12 years: 7.5 mL
Do not exceed 4 doses in a 24 hour period.

Best for colds and allergies.
My 5 year old daughter loves the flavour. Recommended originally by the pharmacist for my daughter when had a cold but also works when she has bad allergies. Works well.

Great for when your have a cold or heyfever. This is one product i swear by that actually works as intended! My body is sensitive with all medications and I find this easy on the tummy and works straight away.
