Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

一般信息
OVERVIEW
FLO Post Operative has been designed to aid your recovery following nasal or sinus surgery. It is packaged as a 4-6 week kit that includes 70 sachets of pre-mixed FLO powder and an irrigation bottle.
FLO Post Operative is a non-medicated, preservative-free, isotonic irrigation solution for washing the nasal passages and sinus cavities. It’s gentle to use and helps clear dry blood, resected tissue and mucus to optimise recovery.
When a sachet of FLO Post Operative is reconstituted, it produces a solution which closely resembles the body’s own extra cellular fluid, so it’s natural and gentle to use. FLO Post Operative is also designed to deliver a high volume - low pressure irrigation solution - this helps improve the effectiveness of washing the nose and sinus cavities.
FLO Post Operative is recommended for use prior to and following surgery. Use as often and for as long as directed by your ENT Surgeon.

Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Bicarbonate, Glucose Anhydrous and Calcium Lactate Pentahydrate.
使用方法
First time use: Thoroughly wash the bottle, tube and cap with warm soapy water using a bottle brush to clean all surfaces. Rinse all components with tap water. Thoroughly dry all components with a clean paper towel.
Fill the bottle to the 200mL FILL Line using lukewarm pre-boiled water. Always boil water for 1-2 minutes before cooling until lukewarm. NOTE: If more convenient, boiled water may be stored in a clean container in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours. You may re-heat the water in the FLO® bottle using a microwave oven in 5 second bursts.
Cut or tear open one sachet of FLO® powder. Using the guidelines, fold out sachet into a funnel shape and pour the entire contents into the FLO® bottle.
Screw the cap and tube firmly onto the bottle and shake until all powder has dissolved.
The mixture is now ready to use.
Standing next to a basin, bend as far forward as is comfortable and tilt the head down so that the chin is as close to the chest as is comfortable.
While breathing through the mouth, apply the cap firmly up against one nasal passage and squeeze the bottle steadily and gently until solution drains from the opposite nasal passage or from the mouth. Do not swallow the solution. (If solution is accidentally swallowed no harm will ensue.) This should be done until about half of the solution has been inserted into the one nasal passage. It is important to remove the bottle from the nostril prior to hand pressure being released. This allows the bottle to "breathe" clean air and avoids aspiration of contaminants from the nose into the bottle. In this way, the douche solution remains clean.
Once half of the solution has been used, stop and then gently blow the nose. If the solution is being used post operatively, then consideration should be given as to whether nose blowing is permitted, or whether this would interfere with healing and post operative results.
Repeat the procedure on the other nostril.

Great product
I recently have a endoscopic sinus surgery and i used this product because it was recommended by my surgeon and this product helps free my nasal passage from mucus and dried blood, and it does not hurt or sting my nose at all. I definitely recommend this product.
