MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

- This product is a Pharmacist Only Medicine and requires pharmacist advice before we can dispatch this product. You must first place the order and then contact our pharmacists within 48 hours on 1300 367 283.
The pharmacist will determine if this product is appropriate for you and if so, approve the order. In the event that you do not do this, the product will be deleted from your order and the balance of your order will be dispatched.
This is not required if you have a doctor's prescription.

Vicks Sinex Nasal Decongestant with aromas of Aloe, Eucalyptus & Menthol provides 12 hour relief from nasal congestion due to colds, allergies and sinusitis

- Alleviates sinus pressure and shrinks swollen nasal membrane with just a few sprays in each nostril.
Vicks Sinex – the fast decongestant nasal spray that gives you temporary relief from nasal and sinus congestions due to colds, allergies and sinusitis for 12 hours.
警告
Do not exceed recommended dose. Treatment should not exceed 3 days. Frequent or prolonged use may cause nasal congestion to recur or worsen. Do not use this product if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, or difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland, unless directed by a healthcare professional. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a healthcare professional before use. This product may cause temporary discomfort such as nasal irritation. Discontinue use if you experience symptoms of allergy, or if irritation is severe or persists. The use of this container by more than one person may spread infection.

Pharmacy Medicine. Keep out of reach of children.

Benzalkonium Chloride and Chlorhexidine Gluconate as preservatives, with Aromas of Aloe, Eucalyptus & Menthol.

Adults & Children 6 years and older (with adult supervision), 2 or 3 sprays in each nostril, every 10 to 12 hours. Do not exceed 2 doses in 24 hours. Must not be used in children under 6 years.
USAGE ADVICE
How to use Sinex Metered Pump Spray:
Remove protective cap.
(Before using the first time, depress the round tab firmly several times to prime the metering pump). Hold bottle with thumb at base, nozzle between first and second fingers. With head upright, insert spray nozzle in nostril, depress pump 2-3 times all the way down with a firm even stroke and sniff deeply.

Worked miraculously well!
I’m so glad I got this earlier for my first aid kit, based on my history of congestion when I get sick. When COVID struck, this saved me! Helped me sleep, rest and recover so much quicker! Couldn’t recommend this enough.
