MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.
PHARMACIST ONLY MEDICINE
- This product is a Pharmacist Only Medicine and requires pharmacist advice before we can dispatch this product. You must first place the order and then contact our pharmacists within 48 hours on 1300 367 283.
The pharmacist will determine if this product is appropriate for you and if so, approve the order. In the event that you do not do this, the product will be deleted from your order and the balance of your order will be dispatched.
This is not required if you have a doctor's prescription.

Great taste
VapoDrops provide a very pleasant taste and the size is very easy to manage and doesn’t tempt one to chew. The product lasts longer than competitors. Good that the VapoDrops are individually wrapped.

Product Soothes throats
I have a packet of individually wrapped lozenges. While the product is good, the wrapping is almost impossible to open without scissors to cut the paper. As a senior I find that I have to use my teeth to tear the paper. Sometimes my teeth are not strong enough either and I have go without sore throat relief because the wrapping is too difficult to open. Not good enough!

If you take apple cider vinegar with honey and lemon in conjunction with these vapodrops, it will sooth a sore throat and a nasty cough.

This is the best stuff I've ever used!
For years I've been using strepsil's and I never found they did anything at all, but since trying the vapour drops which my brother recommended to me. I have never been able to breath from my nose and speak properly without sounding like a dying cat whilst sick but that's all changed now.. I hands down recommended this product to everyone!!!

I like many others have found the packaging so difficult to open. I came onto this site hoping to find there was an easy way to open. Product great but having to get out of packaging when coughing biggest downfall. Really let’s down the product. It would be costly to change but other products have an edge to rip open. Perhaps an opportunity for improvement.

Love these....they seem to have more flavour then the pouched drops. A bit difficult to undo the wrappers sometimes but hey ho...makes you enjoy Them all the more.
I would just like to see the calories on each pack & the breakdown of ingredients

Great for an itchy or sore throat.
I buy this all the time. The soothing taste relieves a tickle in the throat or a sore throat. I’ve tried many other brands but find this most effective for me!

Not as good as Vicks First Defence
I wonder why we cannot buy Vicks First Defence in Australia? I found it marvellous on flights and since we are one of the most travelled nations, I would very much like to know why I cannot buy it. It is still available in the UK I believe, so I will ask my relatives to buy it there and send it to you. Seems a lot of bother when you could buy it here. Love to know why it was discontinued here.

New packaging not good
Don’t like the new packaging (tube). The wrappers are hard to get off and the lozenges are tacky. The product has gone down in its quality. Please return to the old packet with the individual drops in easily opened wrappers.

Extremely Difficult to Open!
I consume Vicks vapodrops for years but I have never had this much difficulties opening the wrappers! It took me 5 minutes just to open the latest wrapper! My fingers are all red and in pain after opening it! It's been made BEYOND difficult to open! I'm a fit person and I'm struggling to open it so imagine someone old or disabled trying to open it! Life is already difficult enough and unexpected changes like this makes it even more difficult!

Ants in my vapodrop
Today I opened a completely sealed packet vapodrops and took a drop out, I was about to place it into my mouth when it came to my attention there were 2x ants inbeeded in the drops! Do you not have quality control? Never again will I buy!!
