MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

- This product is a Pharmacist Only Medicine and requires pharmacist advice before we can dispatch this product. You must first place the order and then contact our pharmacists within 48 hours on 1300 367 283.
The pharmacist will determine if this product is appropriate for you and if so, approve the order. In the event that you do not do this, the product will be deleted from your order and the balance of your order will be dispatched.
This is not required if you have a doctor's prescription.

一般信息
NUROFEN for Children is a pleasant tasting sugar free syrup formulated to target pain and fever in children.
Provides fast, effective relief. Reduction in temperature for up to 8 hours including fever caused by immunisation.
Temporary relief of pain associated with:
- Teething
- Toothache
- Earache
- Sore throats
- Headache
- Minor aches
- Sprains & strains
- Colds & flu

Concentrated formula for easier, lower volume dosing.
Answers to frequently asked questions:
- Contains: sodium chloride, sodium saccharin and wheat starch.
- Contains no: aspirin, alcohol or aspartame.
- 30mL (maximum daily dose) contain 13g of maltitol. Products containing maltitol may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea.
- Most asthmatics can take Nurofen for Children but if your child is sensitive to ibuprofen, aspirin or other pain relievers do not use this product.

CAUTION
Do not give to children who:
- have stomach ulcers or other stomach disorders.
- have kidney or heart problems.
- are suffering dehydration.
- have allergic reactions to aspirin, ibuprofen or other anti-inflammatory medicines. If an allergic reaction develops, stop taking and see your doctor immediately.
Unless a doctor has told you, do not use during the first 6 months of pregnancy. Do not use during the last 3 months of pregnancy.

Ibuprofen 200mg/5mL oral suspension. Also contains Sodium chloride, sodium saccharin and wheat starch.
使用方法
Read and retain carton. Shake the bottle well and use the syringe provided to measure the dose accurately. Push the syringe firmly into the neck of the bottle. Turn the bottle upside down and gently pull the plunger down, drawing the liquid into the syringe. Turn the bottle right way up and gently twist the syringe to remove. To dose your child, press the plunger slowly down to gently release the liquid. After use replace the cap and wash the separated syringe parts in warm water and allow to dry (do not boil).
USAGE ADVICE
Age: 3* - 6 mths - Average weight: 6- 8 kg - Dose: 1.5 - 2.0mL
Age: 6 - 12 mths - Average weight: 8 - 10 kg - Dose: 2.0 - 2.5mL
Age: 1 - 3 yrs - Average weight: 10 - 14 kg - Dose: 2.5 - 3.5mL
Age: 3 - 5 yrs - Average weight: 14 -18 kg - Dose: 3.5 - 4.5mL
Age: 5 - 7 yrs - Average weight: 18 - 22 kg - Dose: 4.5 - 5.5mL
Age: 7 - 9 yrs - Average weight: 22 - 28 kg - Dose: 5.5 - 7.0mL
9 - 12 yrs - Average weight: 28 - 40 kg - Dose: 7.0 - 10mL
*Do not give to babies under 3 months.
Seek medical advice before giving to children under 12 months. Repeat dose every 6 to 8 hours as necessary (mas 3 doses in 24 hrs). Do not exceed stated dose. Excessive use can be harmful. For short term use only. If your child's symptoms persist for more than a few days consult your doctor.
Children should take plenty of fluids.

Easy to Dispense Effective PainRelief for Children
Easy to dispense effective pain relief for children. Comes with a user friendly really handy syringe with indicators to measure amount when dispensing it so you always know the dosage you are giving your child. Syringe can be inserted into the top of the bottle so that it is much easier (and less messier) when dispensing. Dosage in weight and years listed on label on side of the bottle. Comes in two flavours strawberry or orange. You will find your child(ren) will prefer taste of one more than the other. However it is medicine after all so it’s not supposed to be super tasty just provide effective pain relief. :-) What I love most is the syringe is dishwasher safe so you can sterilize it after use for the next time.

I have given my 3 children Nurofen 5-12 yrs for several years now when they have been sick. It is fast working and very effective. It brings temps down quickly and relieves their discomfort. They really like the orange flavour which definitely helps.
