MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

- This product is a Pharmacist Only Medicine and requires pharmacist advice before we can dispatch this product. You must first place the order and then contact our pharmacists within 48 hours on 1300 367 283.
The pharmacist will determine if this product is appropriate for you and if so, approve the order. In the event that you do not do this, the product will be deleted from your order and the balance of your order will be dispatched.
This is not required if you have a doctor's prescription.

For your little one's pain & fever, there's Children's Panadol
With over 60 years of expertise, Children's Panadol Colourfree Suspension is specially designed for kids. It can start to reduce fever in 15 minutes whilst being gentle on your little one's tummy. Additionally, the suspension contains no artificial colours.
Directions for use:
Giving medicine to a sick or unwell child can be challenging. That's why Children's Panadol Colourfree Suspension comes in two tasty, child-friendly flavours (strawberry and orange) with a syringe for easy and accurate dosing. Shake the bottle well and with the help of the dosage table below, measure the correct dosage. If preferred by your child, it can also be given with water or fruit juice.

Paracetamol, the active ingredient in Children's Panadol, can bring down fever to help make your precious one feel more comfortable.
Headache
Paracetamol is the active ingredient in Children's Panadol and can provide temporary pain relief from headache.

Provides relief of pain and fever associated with cold and flu to support your child getting better.

- If your child is using other medicines containing paracetamol, except on medical advice

How to use Children's Panadol
- Please read and retain the carton
- Shake the bottle well
- Use the measuring cup provided to accurately measure
- Pour correct dose into the cup based on the dosage table below
- Calculate correct dose based on the child's weight. If weight is unknown, use the child's age.
Age: 1-2 Yrs Average Weight: 10-12 kg Dose: 3-4mL
Age: 2-3 Yrs Average Weight: 12-14 kg Dose: 4mL
Age: 3-4 Yrs Average Weight: 14-16 kg Dose: 4-5mL
Age: 4-5 Yrs Average Weight: 16-18 kg Dose: 5-6mL
Age: 5-6 Yrs Average Weight: 18-20 kg Dose: 6mL
Age: 6-7 Yrs Average Weight: 20-22 kg Dose: 6-7mL
Age: 7-8 Yrs Average Weight: 22-25 kg Dose: 7-8mL

- Repeat 4-6 hourly if required (maximum 4 times within 24 hours)
- Can be given with water or fruit juice if preferred by your child.
After using Children's Panadol:
- Hand wash dosing device.
- Wipe the neck of the bottle clean
- Push the cap down and turn it to close cap tightly, then turn backwards until you hear clicking sounds.
