MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

- This product is a Pharmacist Only Medicine and requires pharmacist advice before we can dispatch this product. You must first place the order and then contact our pharmacists within 48 hours on 1300 367 283.
The pharmacist will determine if this product is appropriate for you and if so, approve the order. In the event that you do not do this, the product will be deleted from your order and the balance of your order will be dispatched.
This is not required if you have a doctor's prescription.

一般信息
Blackmores LYPRINOL is an anti-inflammatory supplement that contains a unique patented marine lipid extract of greenlipped mussel. There are countless species of mussels all over the world; however it is only the fatty acid extract from the greenlipped mussel (Perna canaliculus) that contains this unique group of fatty acids.
The species of green-lipped mussel used in LYPRINOL is found in the waters of New Zealand. Research into its therapeutic properties was prompted by fi ndings that the reported incidence of arthritis is extremely low in coastal-dwelling Maoris, who consume large amounts of green-lipped mussels, whereas Maoris who reside in the interior have the same incidence of arthritis as New Zealanders of European origin.
LYPRINOL may help to reduce infl ammation and swelling by inhibiting the action of the enzymes involved in infl ammatory pathways (called the LOX and COX pathways). Studies have found LYPRINOL helps to relieve joint pain, joint tenderness and morning stiffness of arthritis. Joint function was also noted to improve.

No added yeast, gluten, wheat, milk derivatives, preservatives, artifi cial colours,
fl avours or sweeteners.
使用方法
Adults - The recommended starting dose is 2 capsules twice a day with meals in the morning and evening, for up to 8 weeks. After the initial 8 weeks take 1 capsule twice a day with meals, or as professionally prescribed.
Children 2-12 years. Don't bite or chew (non-burstable) - Take 1/2 the adult dose, or as professionally prescribed. Capsule contents may be squeezed into juice, milk or cereal, or capsule swallowed whole with yoghurt.

Daily staple for me.
I take one Blackmores Lyprinol Double capsule every day to help manage the inflammation from having osteoarthritis in both of my knees. If I stop taking them the pain returns so I take one daily. I just wish they were less expensive.

A must have for inflammation
My dog takes the canine product equivalent (Antinol) so thats how I knew about Lyprinol. Decided to try it in Q1 this year because I developed trigger finger. Lyprinol does keep inflammation down!
