MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

- This product is a Pharmacist Only Medicine and requires pharmacist advice before we can dispatch this product. You must first place the order and then contact our pharmacists within 48 hours on 1300 367 283.
The pharmacist will determine if this product is appropriate for you and if so, approve the order. In the event that you do not do this, the product will be deleted from your order and the balance of your order will be dispatched.
This is not required if you have a doctor's prescription.

SUSTAGEN OPTIMUM is a nutritionally complete supplement containing a combination of probiotics, essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients.
SUSTAGEN OPTIMUM may help meet nutrient requirements when dietary intake is inadequate, such as during or recovery from illness or times when appetite is poor.

使用方法
Mix 7 level of scoops* with 190ml water or milk (depending on taste).
Use enclosed scoop. *1x scoop of SUSTAGEN OPTIMUM = 8g.
Stir before serving. Great served chilled or warm. All prepared products should be tightly covered and consumed within 6 hours at room temperature or within 24 hours if refrigerated.
Store in a cool dry place and use within 4 weeks after opening.

A rescue drink in my honest opinion.
I had major back surgery and was told I needed a protein dietary addition to my diet. I remember back on 1989 my son had suffered a catastrophic illness and was in a coma in hospital. They gave him liquid Sustagen. Because I was so upset as to what my son was going through and not eating, the nurses gave me sustagen as well. They were delicious and the energy I got from them helped me be there physically for my son. So, during my post surgery phase I asked my my neurosurgeon if this would help. He read the info and said he approved of it. it is helping me every day and so good.
The way I prepare is 3 scoops of vanilla Sustagen, 200ml water, some ice....blend it in a blender or a Ninja bullet type blender. It's cool, refreshing, tastes like you're drinking a milkshake and just yummy. I've added a banana to this on days that I haven't been able to eat any balanced meal during the day. It's delicious!

Fantastic taste!
I had surgery on my stomach recently, and as part of my post-op diet while in hospital, they provided this as one of the options I had with my nutritional liquid based meals.
This has been the easiest thing to sip on and it gave me that much needed energy after surgery.
It is a little on the sweet tasting side, but as someone who does not like sugary drinks and always opts for sugar free, it was still barrable enough to enjoy.
I am at home now and using it as part of my recovery diet. Thanks for such a good product!

A great, tasty, healthy drink.
Being a vegetarian & having false teeth, my diet is not good. With 2 glass's of Optimum daily I know my body is getting all the Vitiams & Nutrient's it needs.

Sustagen Optimum Vanilla Flavour 800g
The Sustagen optimum is the best product I have found for hubby with a bowel problem and is lactose intolerant. Very low in lactose and the probiotic and fiber is just right for his needs. Looking for a tetra pack in Sustagen optimum would be great for holidays instead of taking the tin. After two tins hubby makes sure he has plenty on hand sometimes hard to get and wouldn't be without it.
