Do not take Elovax One Dose if you have a problem with your body's immune system, which helps to fight off infections. Your pharmacist will refer you to your doctor in that case.
Do not take Elovax One Dose if you have an allergy to:
• Famciclovir, the active ingredient
• Penciclovir, a related antiviral medicine
• Any of the other ingredients of Elovax One Dose (refer to pharmacist, manufacturer or Consumer Medicines Information sheet, CMI)
Some of the symptoms of an allergic reaction may include:
• Shortness of breath, wheezing or difficulty breathing
• Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or other parts of the body
• Rash, itching or hives on the skin
Before you start to take it
Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you are over 50 years of age, or if you have:
• A problem with your body's immune system, which helps to fight off infections
• A problem with your kidneys
• Diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, liver problems or other medical conditions
• Signs of an infection other than your cold sore
Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you are pregnant, intend to become pregnant or if you are breast-feeding.
Store your tablets in a dry place where the temperature stays below 30°C.
