MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

- This product is a Pharmacist Only Medicine and requires pharmacist advice before we can dispatch this product. You must first place the order and then contact our pharmacists within 48 hours on 1300 367 283.
The pharmacist will determine if this product is appropriate for you and if so, approve the order. In the event that you do not do this, the product will be deleted from your order and the balance of your order will be dispatched.
This is not required if you have a doctor's prescription.

Flixonase outperforms allergy tablets.1-3 Used only once daily, FLIXONASE® Allergy & Hayfever Relief offers 24-hour relief from annoying symptoms: sneezing, an itchy, runny or blocked nose and sinus pain and congestion. Its non-drowsy formula works directly at the source where you need it most, to treat and prevent hayfever and nasal allergies.

警告
When using this product you may experience:
- Nosebleeds
- Headache
- Unpleasant taste or smell
- A dry or irritated throat or nose
- Rare instances of glaucoma and increased intra-ocular pressure have been reported following administration of intranasal corticosteroids, as a class effect.
- Candidiasis of the throat can occur in patients treated with intranasal steroids. Special care should be taken when treating patients who may be susceptible to candida infections (eg diabetics).
Stop taking this medicine and tell your doctor immediately if:
- You experience an allergic reaction such as skin rashes and itching, sometimes with breathing problems or swelling of the lips, tongue, throat, or face
- You get new changes to your vision that develop after starting this product. There have been rare reports of eye problems such as cataracts or glaucoma in people who have used large amounts of corticosteroids over a period of several years.
- You get small holes (perforations) in the ridge inside the nose that separates the nostrils

There are a few medicines to look out for because they may cause the level of FLIXONASE® Allergy & Hayfever Relief in your body to become too high.
Medicines for HIV infection(such as ritonavir) - Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using FLIXONASE® Allergy & Hayfever Relief.
Tablets for fungal infection (such as keroconazole) - Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using FLIXONASE® Allergy & Hayfever Relief.

Great alternative to more expensive brand
I have extremely bad hayfever/allergies and I cycle my daily sprays and tablets (switching type/brand every couple of months) so my body doesn't build up a tolerance and Flixonase is a spray I often use. I find it works just a good as more expensive brands.
