MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

- This product is a Pharmacist Only Medicine and requires pharmacist advice before we can dispatch this product. You must first place the order and then contact our pharmacists within 48 hours on 1300 367 283.
The pharmacist will determine if this product is appropriate for you and if so, approve the order. In the event that you do not do this, the product will be deleted from your order and the balance of your order will be dispatched.
This is not required if you have a doctor's prescription.

DermaScar® Classic is a clinically proven silicone gel used to soften and flatten raised scars. It provides a barrier over the skin that prevents damage externally and allows the skin to heal internally.

1. Wash the affected area and pat dry.
2. DermaScar® should be applied to clean, dry skin only.
3. Gently massage a small amount of DermaScar® into the scar.
4. If you apply too much gently wipe away any excess with a tissue.
5. Apply twice daily, in the morning and evening.
6. Once dry, DermaScar® may be covered with cosmetic blush.

Best on the market
I bought this product a few weeks ago and I’ve already seen results. I’ve never had a scar product work so quickly. First impressions were that the product seemed small but a little goes a long way. I put it on every morning and night and the difference was noticeable after a few days. It’s also perfect to wear under makeup as it’s clear and tacky so it doesn’t move around when applying product over the top. Highly recommended, it also is on special frequently.

Very good
I have a few rather deep scars from a previous condition and this is working very steadily to erase the scars. They are scares on my chin that have been there for a long time so I will keep using this product but I have already noticed improvement over the four weeks I have been using it.

Handy squeeze tube with a nozzle
I tried it straight away as I have scars and scar tissue on my neck from surgery. After a week of using this product I have noticed a reduction of the redness of scars and the scar tissue is not so prominent. I would recommend this product..

cheap and effective
There are other silicon scar gel brands that are triple the price of Dermascar. I honestly can’t tell the difference in their effectiveness. They all help reduce keloid scarring on my family.

So far so good
I have been using this for about 3 weeks on my red post acne marks. I’m surprised it has actually lightened them!
It’s worked very well on a red mark from about 2 months ago however my older mark it hasn’t been as effective for. Will continue to use and would definitely repurchase to have on hand as I am prone to red acne marks.

Cheap and effective
I had a laparoscopic surgery (keyhole) and after a few weeks, I used this gel to help with the scars. There is huge improvement with the texture. But in any brand, I think it will take a long time before it fully gets erased. This is a cheap alternative for other brands.

Sort of works.
I brought this about a month and a half ago.
I have terrible skin, everything leaves a scar and I don’t know why. It’s slowly lightened old (2-3 year old) dark and red pimple/whitehead/acne scars.
It’s silicon so of course it is a little bit sticky, when it drys it leave a shiny dry film and after a few hours soaks totally in. I was told the film protects the affected area and retain hydration. I’ve used it pretty constantly morning and night along with the normal skin regime - cleanser, exfoliating, toner and face masks.
Giving 3 star because I haven’t used the whole tube yet and it hasn’t been that long.

doesn't dry or stay on.
Been using on raised breast lift scars for 4 weeks. Instructions say to apply a small amount as too much takes a long time time to dry. I've done that, but it never dries. When home, I've applied it wearing no bra, but hours later it's still wet and tacky. After removing my bra, and also after sleeping just covered by sheets, and I can't feel any gel left on my skin. So far my raised red scars haven't improved. It seems to work for others, but I don't know how, when anything touching the skin wipes it off.
