MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

- This product is a Pharmacist Only Medicine and requires pharmacist advice before we can dispatch this product. You must first place the order and then contact our pharmacists within 48 hours on 1300 367 283.
The pharmacist will determine if this product is appropriate for you and if so, approve the order. In the event that you do not do this, the product will be deleted from your order and the balance of your order will be dispatched.
This is not required if you have a doctor's prescription.

Deep Heat Back Pain Extra Large Patches provide effective pain relief and activate when in contact with air.

Use on clean, dry skin. Tear open plastic packet, remove protective film from patch. Patch will activate in 60 seconds and remain warm for up to 8 hours. Apply patch to the affected area, adhesive side onto the skin. To remove, slowly peel off the patch. For delicate or ageing skin, apply adhesive side of patch to clothing. On ?exible joints use dressing tape to hold the patch in place. Do not bandage over the patch. SINGLE USE ONLY This product is air activated - only open when ready to use. Do not attempt to reheat in oven or microwave. Do not cut, massage, fold or wet the patch. Do not use if patch is damaged or torn. Store in a cool dry place. After use, dispose in normal household waste. Please recycle carton.

Your portable solution for back pain.

Lots of relief for your lower back pain!
On really bad lower back pain days, these work brilliantly for me. And the heat absolutely does last for the whole work day, even longer. (Tip: Given where the patches are positioned for lower back pain, just be careful not to lose the patch down the loo, ladies!)

Good value 4-pack box. Great for winter back pain.
I have a chronic back injury, and I’m sure that others with back pain can relate - winter is the least pleasant time of the year for trying to carry on with your regular life activities.
Heat packs and such can help if you’re staying still (and in proximity to a microwave / power socket etc), but what about if you need to move about?
One of these extra large “double patches” applied across my lower back generates warmth from the time I get up to the time I’m ready to turn in for the night. Makes a huge difference to the level of discomfort that cold weather would often bring. Simply “layering up” with warm clothing doesn’t help - I find that to get the back warm enough to not be uncomfortable, the rest of your body is cooking itself if you over-do it with clothing alone... The heat generated by these patches is perfectly targeted and makes a big difference.
Chemist Warehouse sells an exclusive 4-pack for about the same price the other pharmacies sell a 2-pack of these Deep Heat patches - so good value in comparison.

Nice and large for back and I found them great for shoulder as covers front and back. Anywhere where large coverage is needed, as patch is split in 2 parts and can be bent to fit different areas . Gives good relief.

Good heat, long lasting, great for back pain
I have been a long term user of these and chemist warehouse I have found to be the cheapest which is important when I’m buying so many. I stand long hours and end up with such a sore back, with these it is so much better. I can put it on 7am and it’s still warm at midnight, does get itchy if I leave it on for too long though. Would definitely recommend!
