MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

- This product is a Pharmacist Only Medicine and requires pharmacist advice before we can dispatch this product. You must first place the order and then contact our pharmacists within 48 hours on 1300 367 283.
The pharmacist will determine if this product is appropriate for you and if so, approve the order. In the event that you do not do this, the product will be deleted from your order and the balance of your order will be dispatched.
This is not required if you have a doctor's prescription.

Caruso's Vitamin K2+D3 is a special Vitamin combination formulated to help maintain strong healthy bones. Vitamin D3 helps in the absorption of calcium from the diet and Vitamin K2 is necessary for the activation of a protein used in the mineralisation of calcium into teeth and bones. Both Vitamin K2 and Vitamin D3 have supportive effects on the cardiovascular system.

Vitamin K2 works together with Vitamin D to utilise Calcium for better bone building and bone support!
Your body requires a balance of vitamins and minerals and none are as important for bone health as Vitamin K2 and Vitamin D3. In fact, Vitamin K2 is the biological partner of Vitamin D3. Both vitamins work side by side in the process of calcium absorption and bone modelling.
It is well known that Vitamin D3 aids in the absorption of Calcium from the diet to promote strong healthy bones. However Vitamin K2 also plays a crucial role in the actual building of bones as it directs calcium into your bones. Without Vitamin D3, calcium cannot be absorbed from the diet and without Vitamin K2, calcium will not bind to bone. Therefore the two Vitamins are both necessary for bone building. The role of Vitamin D in this process is to maintain skeletal calcium balance by promoting the absorption of calcium in the intestines and maintaining calcium levels for bone formation. Vitamin K2’s unique effect is that it activates Osteocalcin. This protein starts the bone mineralisation process and the calcium mineral is added to the structure of the bone matrix and helps to build and maintain healthy bones.

Great product combination
Caruso's is a quality brand and their K2+D3 combination is great way of getting these two key synergistic vitamins in your diet. Both are difficult to get from a normal diet and sun exposure. Great for bone support. I've been using consistently for a year and will continue to buy this brand

Bone scan blues should be a thing of the past
It will be some time before l know if this product has done the trick but after reading a book about K-2 and it's effects on bone density, l am very hopeful. There's no way l will take the drugs the doctors try and push on you for osteoporosis. The side effects are worse than the complaint. Thank you Mr. Caruso.

Good no calcium in it
Alot of the current K2 have low K2 and/or added calcium. I avoid calcium as that stuff yr vessels and joints.This is perfect as it has good amount of K2 and also has D3.
