MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.
PHARMACIST ONLY MEDICINE
- This product is a Pharmacist Only Medicine and requires pharmacist advice before we can dispatch this product. You must first place the order and then contact our pharmacists within 48 hours on 1300 367 283.
The pharmacist will determine if this product is appropriate for you and if so, approve the order. In the event that you do not do this, the product will be deleted from your order and the balance of your order will be dispatched.
This is not required if you have a doctor's prescription.

- This prescription item is Schedule 8 and can only be supplied on a script from a registered doctor in Queensland.

Paper stems are made from sustainably grown wood pulp and recycled paper, with 100% cotton tips to gently care for ears.

Dip cotton tip in make up remover to touch up make-up.
RECYCLABLE INFORMATION
The re-sealable plastic package can be recycled at a RedCycle soft plastics collection point.
Dispose of used tips in the bin. Do not flush the tips down the toilet.
We do not recommend adding the tips to your home compost bin. Although the tips are made from sustainably sourced paper and 100% cotton, anything that has been added to the cotton bud during use e.g. nail polish remover, makeup, disinfectant etc., may affect the delicate balance of a compost bin.

Finally a recyclable cotton tip
I love these cotton tips. I can finally use cotton tips without feeling guilty, as I felt using the plastic ones. These are strong, and actually much better than the plastic ones. Do the planet a favour and switch to these Paper Stem Cotton Tips.

I was so glad to discover that Swisspers had an alternative to plastic in their cotton tips. These work very well for the usual purposes, plus you know you are doing the right thing for the environment.

This is all about not using plastic so I’m very happy to use this product but would like it even more if it was in a an an Unbleached recycled cardboard box.

Love that this product is more environmentally friendly!! Way to go!
However, shame it comes packaged in plastic though, why not use recycled cardboard packaging instead? Please improve this aspect of the product.

Great new sustainable tips - BUT STILL IN PLASTIC
I ran out of cotton tips recently and was overjoyed and amazed that I could buy ones from a supermarket that didn't have plastic sticks. Amazing! But I was so disappointed they came wrapped in plastic. I know it's less plastic and that I can take the packaging back to the supermarket for recycling, but I think it should have come in paper or cardboard packaging.

Very disappointing that they don’t come in eco-friendly friendly packaging. The cotton tips themselves are very easy to use and feel great, I am just upset about the packaging!

Last time i bought this product (a few years ago) it came in a cardboard flip top box (larger 200 size)
Ive been looking for an enviro option to tell others about - i'm disappointed in the packaging.... almost there...

Such a good replacement for plastic stems, and good price too; but giving it 2 stars because I'd like swisspers to consider packing in a recyclable or biodegrdable packaging that isn't plastic. No use offering paper stems wrapped in plastic...

...unfortunately we decided not to buy ' Made in China' anymore.
Surely, this eco-friendly product can be produced onshore. Happy to buy it again then even when more expensive.
